In order to enhance the current systems, procedures and practices aimed at increasing airport traffic and complexity while constantly ensuring the highest service levels, ENAV entrusted IDS Ingegneria dei Sistemi with the task of designing and developing TBA3D, a simulation system of the TWR operative environment for the validation and experimentation of the functions of a new monitoring system of airport surface traffic, known as Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS).
IDS asked A&P to cooperate in the creation of a requirements and system design model using modeling language SysML, in order to increase the efficiency of the high phase of the TBA3D system development cycle and support continuity between the analysis phase and SysML designing and the development team’s technical planning.
